Academic Bowl:

  • Academic Bowl tests players on a wide variety of academic subjects. RESA competitions consist of 16 teams from around the area.

  • The purpose of this organization is to unite young men of middle school age with similar ideas to promote leadership among their peers and to encourage education.

  • The purpose of this organization is to allow students to express their creative abilities.

Builders Club:

  • The purpose of this organization is to serve the community while teaching students social skills and providing leadership opportunities. Students in the club will be working to improve the school and surrounding community.

Chess Club:

  • The purpose of this club is to develop higher order thinking skills in a competitive game of strategy. All levels of players are welcomed.

Creative Writing Club

  • The focus of our club is to help elicit joy in students who have a passion for creative writing. Our main intention is not only to help students with the stories they create, but also to improve their writing skills, as well as to create an environment where students will be able to make friends and engage in enjoyable discussion with their peers about their creations. In our club, we are a safe space where all ideas and outlets of creativity are welcome! At each meeting we will focus on different aspects of creative writing to help students in their goal to create a story that they are already working on, or one that is entirely new to them!
  • Meetings: Every Wednesday at 4:00 PM until 5:30 PM. Cancellations will be made well in advance to all students!

Drama Club

  • The purpose is to allow students to explore and learn about the Theater Arts and Performing Arts on Stage.

  • The purpose of this organization is to foster a spirit of Christian service in a voluntary, student-initiated atmosphere.

Future Educators of America

  • Future Educators of America prepares students to be leaders in the field of education (e.g., teaching, library, counseling, school psychology, etc.) by encouraging active participation in career and academic planning, personal and professional development, and experiential learning. Members will learn about the teaching profession, its opportunities, responsibilities, and its

    an essential role in our democracy, explore their own interests and abilities in relation to the various fields of teaching and cultivate the qualities of personality, character, and leadership which are essential in great teachers.

  • Membership Requirements: Active members are members who have maintained an 80 or above in three out of four of their academic classes, regularly attend meetings, and participate in service and other activities. Two unexcused absences from regularly scheduled meetings may cause a loss of membership. The scholastic and citizenship standing of each member shall be reviewed throughout the school year. Failing grades and disciplinary actions may result in placing the member on probation or cause loss of membership. Any member who falls below eligibility criteria shall be promptly warned in writing by the advisor. If the member continues to fall below the eligibility criteria, the member shall be dismissed and notified in writing.

  • The purpose of this organization is to foster a spirit of community service and high achievement among honor students whose Beta Club eligibility is based on grade point average.

Junior Police Academy:

  • The purpose of this organization is to learn about civil law, the judicial system and other subjects related to law enforcement.

Spanish Club

  • The ECMS Spanish Club main goal is to help students understand and appreciate the people and diverse cultural creations from Spanish-speaking countries. We also want to encourage students to learn and love the Spanish language. By joining the club, they will have a chance to explore Spanish language, culture, and history outside of regular classes. We aim to make them fall in love with the Spanish language and introduce them to different aspects of Hispanic culture, like trying delicious foods, enjoying arts, and having fun with entertainment.

Student Government Association:

  • The purpose of this organization is to build leadership skills. Students are selected by their homerooms. SGA members work to serve the student body through activities such as dances, service projects, and more.
